On June 4th, Greenville’s finest came together for a good old fashioned parking lot skate contest. Like so many of these before, Backdoor Billy took to the mic for MC duties and also supplying the ramps. Music came courtesy of DJ Tymellord. And of course, thanks so much to Trollingwood Brewery for hosting this awesome event! Photos by Will Preslar
Event Sponsors: Backdoor Skateshop, Trollingwood Brewery, Santa Cruz, Adidas, Toy Machine, Creature, South Shore Distribution, OJs Wheels, Nike SB, Converse, Foundation, DLX Distribution and Eastern Skateboard Supply
Come out to city hall tomorrow for an important Greenville City Council meeting. This is a great opportunity to show the council what wide support our project has. Everyone you know that has a stake in skateboarding, BMX, inline, scooters, etc should come out.
We need the entire skate community at this meeting. Interest shown at this meeting will drive the project forward rather than it getting held up. We need a modern concrete skatepark and this is the time to cease a golden opportunity. >> Join the event on Facebook

As you might know, we are about to take over the hockey rink! The first obstacle in our one-at-a-time approach is this beautiful flat bar welded by Greenville local Mike Laird at East Carolina Custom Metal. Funds for this 20ft long x 14in tall round rail were donated by local business PartyBox Photo Booth. Skateable soon!!!
More to come. The next thing we’ll be doing after mounting the rail will be a resealing of the area to smooth it out some.
